PIVOT
The time has come for a change. Instead of struggling to continue to write book “reviews”, I’m opening up this site to my other interests as well – namely, photography and voiceover, with some etc. sprinkled in here and there. Continue reading PIVOT
Book-Tracking Apps, Part I (Bookly)
I’ve been using Bookly for a number of years now, and I’ve mostly loved the experience. The look and feel of the app is just great! It’s relatively user friendly, and did I mention that it looks great? Continue reading Book-Tracking Apps, Part I (Bookly)

Welcome to Room 117, Prepare to Learn… Nothing.
funny thing is, she’s not actually a student at this school! She’s hoping that in a week or two, she’ll be able to go back home, to her real school and her real friends. But things don’t go quite as she planned. Continue reading Welcome to Room 117, Prepare to Learn… Nothing.
Find the Robot, Save Humanity
I recently watched the Foundation series on AppleTv+. Although it’s not a fast-paced, action-packed, sci-fi thriller, I did think it was a great show. I feel like the show’s creators did an excellent job of helping us visualize the galaxy as Asimov describes it in his books. Now, I admit, I am new to the Foundation series, though it has existed for many years. The show was interesting enough that I wanted to start working my way through the books to get more of the story. Continue reading Find the Robot, Save Humanity

A 200-yr old Teenager, a Space Elf, and a Killer-Alien-Plant
I listened to the conclusion of The Aurora Cycle series by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. It’s a three-book series consisting of Aurora Rising, Aurora Burning, and Aurora’s End. All three books demonstrate, in my opinion, excellent story-telling skills. It has a plot that isn’t entirely predictable, characters that you learn to love or appreciate, action to keep things popping, and the usual romance. Continue reading A 200-yr old Teenager, a Space Elf, and a Killer-Alien-Plant
Two Roads
This is not a book review, but instead, it is just a question. Why not read a review by someone who has already read a book and can give you an idea of how it affects them? Maybe you could provide insight into what more you want in a website/blog like this. There is a comment section below for you to give feedback, and I … Continue reading Two Roads
Let’s Go!
I am a simple man and that’s why I need a simple cook book! Love the step by step pictures and the hand holding ( no we are not dating). Humor goes well with my cooking because my family always laughs when I cook! Dairy free is good because my wife is intolerant to dairy. I eat anything and when I cook anything without thinking… … Continue reading Let’s Go!
Dad, why do you take so many pictures?
As a parent, I am entering that dreaded phase of parenting a teenager, with two more not far behind. I anticipate blinking only a few more times before my kids are adults, so I’m glad that I have found Amy’s book now, while there’s a little time left to capture. Now, that’s not to say that I haven’t captured some wonderful moments already, but I’m grateful for the encouragement to keep the camera clicking, even if my kids don’t understand my need to always be taking photos. Continue reading Dad, why do you take so many pictures?
